Series 24, which recently concluded, was no exception.

This time, the spotlight was focused on international pop star JoJo Siwa, 21, and her budding friendship with Love Island alum Chris Hughes, 32. Despite Siwa dating Australian model and activist Kath Ebbs at the time, the pair got very close in the compound, cuddling and sharing kisses – although not on the lips. Siwa gave him massages, and he promised to return the favour outside the house in an interview with CBB host Will Best.

Although their closeness raised eyebrows, Hughes said after he was evicted from the house, “From a friendship point of view … of course I love her.”

Later, Siwa’s partner Kath Ebbs revealed on social media that they had been dumped by Siwa at the show’s after-party after turning up to support her, adding that Hughes was in the adjacent room when this went down. Ebbs further divulged that the Dance Moms star had blamed “confused feelings” for their separation, and liked a comment suggesting Siwa had fallen in love with Hughes. Notably, the “Karma” singer previously shared on CBB that she was no longer a lesbian and identified with the term queer instead.

Meanwhile, Siwa and Hughes have been spotted getting cosy multiple times since their exit from the CBB house. The pair spent time together at a tennis club, per The Sun, while The Nightly reported a sighting at a park in London, and Perez Hilton says they were also spotted together at a golf club recently.
